Newly Completed
I have just finished a draft of a chapter for
a report on GM crops in the BRIC countries, and competition policy issues for this industry, joint with Pierre Regibeau and part of a larger project for which Ioannis Lianos is Principal Investigator and editor.

We design a decision making framework for mergers where innovation is present, targeting concepts that can be measured and outlining a decision making methodology that goes beyond a listing of concepts. We develop this in detail in http://repository.essex.ac.uk/23644/, which is now in Antitrust Bulletin (2019). The chapter with GM food discussion is available as part of the draft of the entire BRICS report: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3076160

Projects and Working Papers
I am working on a project on price dispersion in wines sold in restaurants with Jean-Marie Cardebat and Olivier Gergaud. This project has an empirical and a theoretical element. We are reworking this now and expect a working paper this summer.

I also have an empirical and measurement project on detecting patent thickets joint with Marek Dietl, Mateusz Gatkowski, Lukasz Skrok, Pablo Benalcazar, and Ryan Whalen. That's a lot of folks, but this was a lot of work. This now appears in Research Policy. A draft is available here:http://repository.essex.ac.uk/26505/
